Apple Schoolwork (Beta)

Sight Word Cards integrates with Apple's ClassKit framework in Beta, which means it works directly with the Schoolwork app you may already use to manage your classroom iPads. Teachers opt in from the in-app For Teachers screen.

Assign word sets — choose which word boxes to assign as activities through Schoolwork
Track student progress — see which students have started, how far along they are, and how they performed on quizzes
Deep-link into activities — when students open an assignment from Schoolwork, they land directly on the right word set, no searching required

If your school uses Apple School Manager and Managed Apple Accounts, Schoolwork handles the rest. Sight Word Cards appears as an assignable activity in Beta.

How Teachers Use It

Getting started takes just a few minutes.

Assign a word set via Schoolwork. Pick a difficulty level or specific word box and send it to your class as a Schoolwork activity.
Students practice on their iPads. They open the assignment, tap through flashcards, listen to pronunciations, and take quizzes at their own pace.
View progress in Schoolwork. Check in on completion rates and quiz results without interrupting practice time.

Free to Start

Sight Word Cards is free to download and use with the first set of words. The free version includes core flashcard functionality and Schoolwork Beta support.

The optional Premium upgrade (a one-time purchase) unlocks all 300 words across every difficulty level, all six natural voice narrators, interactive quiz mode, and the ability to create custom word lists — useful if you want to align practice with your own curriculum.

If your school purchases apps through Apple School Manager with volume licensing, Premium can be deployed across all student devices at once.
